How we started

 

Several years ago Chef Chrisana Peters decided that working for someone else was not artistically inspiring and fulfilling to her artistic side.  So she set out to create the perfect business where she could combine her culinary skills, artistic abilities and passion for life.

 

Soon an idea began to grow about infusing fine olive oils with fine ingredients. No one else was doing it and the stores that carried infused oils either were filled with unnatural ingredients or were blended with other oils. Chef Chrisana knew it was time to make a change, but she still had a lot of planning to get things going.

 

In 2007, Chef Peters met and fell in love with Nina, who would change her life and help put her dreams on the map. Chef possessed the creativity and Nina possessed the organization and management skills to get The Divine Chef up and running. At first Chris & Nina just sold bottles to friends and family and gave them away as gifts. Soon the word was out about the olive oil and everyone loved it. People were now asking on a regular basis when the couple was going to open a store.

 

In the summer of 2010, Chef Chrisana and new fiance, Nina began setting up tents 5 days a week and selling olive oil at farmers markets. The response from the public was fantastic and everyone was raving about the taste of the olive oil.  As the business grew over the next few years, "The Divine Chef" went from two infused olive oils to choose from to almost thirty.  Not to mention,  spice rubs, seasonings, and even a seasonal truffle infused finishing oil.

 

At "The Divine Chef" each bottle of olive oil or vinaigrette is custom infused. In other words, we infuse each and every bottle when it is ordered and not a moment sooner.

 

To make our infused olive oils, we use only First Cold Press, Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Italy and then infuse it with essential oils made from copper distilling organic herbs, which are locally sourced. In some cases dried herbs are also added to the bottle for taste and visual presentation of our product.

 

All of our products are made with the best ingredients available. We also import our own olive oil and buy everything in large quantities. Therefore, we are able to sell our customers a premium quality product at an affordable price. We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the finer things in life.
